Tantalum Corporation has continued its recent string of success with yet another global award.
The latest comes at the Mobile Breakthrough Awards, which looks to recognise the top companies, products, innovations and people in the mobile and wireless industries today. The awards are judged by an independent panel of experts who have broad experience within the mobile technology industry.
Tantalum took home the Telematics Solution Provider of the Year award within the Internet-of-Things (IoT) category. Tantalum was in good company within the IoT category that also saw Cisco Kinetic win IoT Platform of the Year and Toshiba win the IoT Innovation Award. US based telecommunications companies Sprint and Verizon were also awarded, as were Samsung and Vodafone.
The award follows the recent U.S. launch of Tantalum’s software within the Harman Spark, enabling the product with a rich set of features, an ecosystem of services and a payment platform.
Tantalum’s products work to augment the connected vehicle experience and effectively monetise the services that can be offered to consumers. In-car services are fully integrated into the Tantalum system and mobile application, while Tantalum’s payment platform, Pay.Car, makes payments a simple one-click process for consumers and provides an easy revenue-share experience for Tantalum’s business partners.
Ozgur Tohumcu, Tantalum CEO, commented:
“We are delighted to be recognised by the Mobile Breakthrough Awards, and this recognition supports our focus on innovation following our launch in the USA. Our Open Platform provides services to consumers and businesses such as vehicle diagnostics, parking, automated insurance, roadside recovery and accident management.
Tantalum’s approach to co-creation of services with trusted ecosystem partners allows us to grow quickly and provide the best possible product to the end user. The integration of Pay.Car adds a host of extra benefits, including easy revenue-sharing and CRM capabilities to both end consumers and our business partners as we continue to build the most innovative marketplace for the aggregation and monetisation of vehicle related services.”
